Sonnen means “sunbathing” in German, and my mother’s surname is Sonnenberger. That’s how I got the inspiration for the name of my brand, which was born when, at 63, I decided to move to the beach. There I discovered that happiness is found in the little things: a sunset, a walk on the sand and the love of those around you.

When I left Mexico City, my lifestyle changed because on the beach life is simpler and dressing comfortably and elegantly is easy: a beach bag, a sarong and a good swimsuit are all you need to feel comfortable and beautiful.

That's when I found the perfect swimsuit: a versatile model that transforms into many styles so you can wear a different bikini every time. Plus, this way we reduce the environmental impact that occurs every time a garment is manufactured. So, concerned about our planet, I designed these bikinis so that they are many in one.

This is why I wanted to create Sonnen to share them with you so you can enjoy them too.
